Malaysia is a fast developing country. Realizing the need to provide experts in chemistry, this book is appropriate to be used as a text for fundamental course in analytical chemistry. The texts cover topics from the most basic analytical chemistry course including methods on basic analyses to important concepts such as handling of data analysis, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry and titration. The chemical equilibrium in this book covers acid-base equilibrium, precipitation, complex and redox titration. For every topic, examples and solutions are provided to give reader a better understanding in the topics covered.

Faiz Bukhari Mohd Suah is a senior lecturer at the School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His first degree is in chemical technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and both master and doctor of philosophy degrees in analytical chemistry from University of Melboune and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, respectively. Prior joining Universiti Sains Malaysia, he served at Universiti Teknologi Mara for almost four years. He has more than 10 years of experience in teaching undergraduate analytical chemistry courses such as Unit Operations, Basic Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Electroanalytical Chemistry and also a postgraduate course, Electrochemical Methods. He is also active in research specifically in the field of green analytical chemistry and has published more than 30 research articles. He serves as an editor for an international journal, Eurasian Journal of Analytical Chemistry and also an active reviewer for numerous international journals. He is also appointed as an assessor for National Science Center of Poland for international grant application and as a visiting scientist for Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan in 2014.

Wan Saime Wan Ngah is a retired professor in Analytical Chemistry Section, School of Chemical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.
